We are a well-established dental practice with an excellent reputation, situated in the heart of Shoreham-by-Sea and serving the community and wider areas across the South East. Owners Dr Annalize Van Zyl and Trudie Heyns, along with their valued team, aim to provide a relaxed, happy and friendly atmosphere, with a gentle approach to dentistry that will have you feeling completely comfortable in our practice surroundings.
Previously in Southdown Road, The Dental Practice moved to an incredible new premises in 2023. Due to our quality of care and exceptional service, we simply outgrew the old location and took the opportunity to create an amazing practice with a custom fit layout to enhance the experience of our patients. Everything about our expansion was carried out with a key focus on the benefits for both our existing and prospective patients.
Our mission is to make our patients’ lives better by concentrating on long term oral health and dental well-being. As a team, we take the time to listen first, assess carefully and discuss all our findings in detail. We ensure you are fully aware of all your treatment options and the costs involved for each before helping you make an informed decision. We are especially considerate of nervous patients, and do all we can to help everyone access dental treatment.

Why choose us?The Dental Practice was established around 1969 by Mr Steel, and first moved to another premises within Shoreham in around 1980. Despite being a dental practice for over 50 years, it has only had four Principal Dentists in that time. Our current Principal, Annalize Van Zyl, took over the practice in February 2007.
The practice underwent extensive refurbishment in 2007 and 2016, and moved to a new location at Mariner Point in 2023. Our new practice is fully equipped to enable us to perform modern dentistry with outstanding results across seven surgeries. We use advanced digital technology throughout the practice, and our team keep up to date with the latest developments in dentistry to bring you the very best service and care. We are fully wheelchair accessible and benefit from 15 parking spaces on site and the train station just a five minute walk away. Our doors are always open to patients who need us, and you can be sure of a warm welcome.
