See more smilesTeeth whitening is a perfect way to give your smile and your confidence a boost, brightening the colour of your teeth without causing any damage or harm. Over time, teeth lose their natural whiteness due to a number of factors, including age, medications, diet and lifestyle choices, but you don’t have to put up with dull or discoloured teeth.
There are three options to brighten your smile. Depending on your preference or clinical need, you can choose home whitening during the day or overnight, or have your whitening treatment in a single appointment in our practice.
If you are interested in teeth whitening, we begin by examining your teeth, making sure they are healthy, strong and suitable for treatment. We discuss the options with you, and whether you would prefer to whiten your teeth at home or in our practice.
We create your treatment plan, and encourage you to tell us about your ideal whiter smile and ask any questions. We make sure we take photos of your starting shade so we can really see the difference in your final results!
If you are having home whitening, we take digital impressions of your teeth so bespoke and comfortable whitening trays can be made. When your whitening trays are ready, we invite you for a follow up appointment. We check your trays fit accurately and show you how to apply the specially formulated whitening gel. The main bulk of your treatment is carried out in the comfort of your home over 2-3 weeks, allowing you to whiten your teeth when it suits you.
If you opt for in-practice whitening, your treatment takes place over a single appointment in the dental chair. We apply whitening gel to your teeth and shine a blue LED light to speed up the whitening process. After just an hour, your teeth are a dazzlingly whiter shade. We put a post-treatment gel on your teeth to help protect your enamel and reduce sensitivity, and provide you with some whitening gel to top up your white smile at home whenever you want to.
With both home and in-practice options, we carefully supervise your treatment, ensuring it is safe and will cause no damage to your teeth. Our favourite part is when you leave our practice smiling confidently and thrilled with your results!
Yes, teeth whitening is completely safe when carried out by a trained and qualified dental professional. We are experts in teeth and best placed to ensure you can achieve the results you are dreaming of without harm.
Professional teeth whitening will not damage your teeth. We take the time to ensure you have the correct level of whitening gel and supervise your treatment. Your oral health is our priority but we are pleased to be able to provide you with safe and effective whitening that keeps your natural enamel strong and healthy. You may experience some tooth sensitivity, but this is temporary and will fade once your whitening treatment is complete.
No, whitening treatment is not effective on dental restorations such as crowns, veneers, bridges or fillings. These will remain the same colour, but you may choose to have them replaced to match the new shade of your natural teeth at an additional cost.
Teeth whitening treatment is not at all painful. We use advanced digital technology to ensure your whitening trays are comfortable and accurate, completely bespoke to you. You may experience some sensitivity in your teeth during treatment, but this is temporary and will fade when you stop wearing the trays.
